The ever-higher demand for metallized film with excellent self-healing performance requires the use of thinner metal layers that are therefore vulnerable to oxidation phenomena, which are responsible, in time, for altering the electric characteristics of the product. To solve this issue, Filmet uses a special process of “Protection” which allows steady metallization at high electrical resistance. Particular attention is paid to preserving the reinforced edge thus not altering the characteristics and performances of the successive zinc spraying.
